The most important part of Ganpathi decorations, especially at home. A statue of Lord Ganesha is believed to bring prosperity and happiness to your home as well as your workplace.

Pooja Mandap

To house a Ganesha statue, one must also have a pooja mandap. The pooja mandap is a wooden temple and is best suited for Vinayaka Chavithi. It can be hung on a wall.

banana leaves

Mandap can be prepared with fresh banana leaves as well as coconut and Ashoka tree leaves, among others. The banana is considered scared in Hindu rituals.

Diyas

Many people will also light Akhand Diya during Ganesh Chaturthi. The lamp is made of brass and crystals and can be kept near the statue and the pooja mandap as it does not get hot even if left on for hours.

incense stick

Incense sticks are also used and have pleasant scents like sandalwood and other herbal scents.

modak

Ganesh Chaturthi is considered incomplete without modak. It is often prepared in homes and offered as prasad to Lord Ganesh.
