Newcomers join favorites at Saturday’s CBC Bluegrass Festival

Two favorites – The Kruger Brothers and the Junior Sisk Band – return for the Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival, scheduled for Saturday at the camp just outside Mocksville.

Artists making their first appearance at the festival will include award-winning young bluegrass player Carley Arrowood and the world’s happiest bluesman, Big Ron Hunter.

The day will include activities for children including face painting, a guided nature walk, an introduction to the game of ‘Ga Ga Ball’, a ‘When I Grow Up’ photo opportunity with qualified people and the parade. of the children’s presentation of the next artists of the year.

Auction items include a trip to the beach, a hunting trip, tickets to Merlefest, a stay at the River House B&B in Grassy Creek , handmade items, Noritaki porcelain sets, a bicycle, etc.

The dining room will serve grilled chicken and pork with sides.

This year again there will be a classic car show, the Swicegood Picker’s Place and the Agape Nappin’ Cabin.

There will be two exclusive evening instrument workshops with the Kruger Brothers.

Doors open at 10 a.m., with stage announcements at 10:45 a.m. and the Carley Arrowood Band begin music at 11 a.m., followed by Big Ron Hunter at 12:15 p.m., the Junior Sisk Band at 1:30 p.m. and The Kruger Brothers at 3 .
