It’s Easter weekend, and that’s usually the very definition of spring. This is certainly the case with the events and activities taking place around the ancient city this week – a festival, an Easter parade, two concerts and a bird watching event. Plus, the weather is getting warmer, which leads to perfect beach days.

Jump into Spring Fest 2022
The fourth annual Hop into Spring Fest takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 16 at the World Golf Hall of Fame. Vendors, a charity raffle, craft workshops, Easter activities, door prizes and food trucks will be included.

Tab Benoit Concert
Also on Saturday, blues guitarist Tab Benoit will perform at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. Benoit is known for his “Bayou Blues” sound, earning Grammy nominations and blues music awards. He is also an advocate for wetland conservation in his home state of Louisiana.

One of many Easter events taking place this weekend, the Easter Walk is scheduled from 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Plaza de la Constitucion gazebo. Free for all ages and open to the public, the walk celebrates Easter hats and costumes, with prizes in categories including most creative hat, best dressed animal, biggest family and best couple dressed, to name a few.

Florida Bird and Photo Festival
This four-day festival, from April 20-24, is jam-packed with daily activities, hands-on workshops, nature tours and photography clinics. Classes range from beginners to professional techniques in photography, and lecturers will present specialist knowledge in many areas.

Planet Band Camp Concert
End the week with a concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheater on Thursday, as Planet Radio features rockers Three Days Grace, Black Veil Brides and Ice Nine Kills. All three bands are “hardcore rockers,” with chart-topping heavy metal sounds and unique take on pop culture.
