The Power to the People festival kicks off later this month

COMING FROM THE LOS ANGELES PHILHARMONIC… Organized by LA Phil Creative Chair for Jazz Herbie Hancock and Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, the Power to the People! celebrates the role that artists have played and continue to play in promoting social change, civil rights and humanitarian causes. Musicians of all genres help us see the world as it is and imagine the world as it could be. They shine a light on injustices and inspire people to take action. In March 2020, as the pandemic closed concert halls around the world, the Los Angeles Philharmonic was forced to shorten the initial duration of this festival. In spring 2022, Power to the People! returns, bringing with it many of the most anticipated artists and thought leaders from the festival’s first incarnation, as well as brand new programs and commissions that speak the truth about our moment. LA Phil’s humanities programs are generously supported by Linda and David Shaheen. Image WITH WAITING, WE WILL WIN!
